CUBE CONCEPTS Kick-Off 2024: The industry in transition

The event marked the starting point for new projects involving solar parks, ESG requirements, and innovative storage solutions. Together with international partners, the CUBE CONCEPTS team defined a clear roadmap to tackle the challenges of the energy transition with consolidated expertise and a strong team spirit.

From January 19 to 21, 2024, the the annual kick-off meeting of CUBE CONCEPTS took place. Under the motto "The industry in transition", the entire international team from Friday to Sunday for an intensive exchange, setting goals for the coming year and a varied supporting program.

The kick-off event began on Friday in the offices of the Company headquarters in Kaarst near Düsseldorf with group work from the various departments and a self-organized lunch. The extremely exciting and informative presentations started in the afternoon, with CUBE CONCEPTS also welcoming the General Manager of the new partner Olympus Power from the UK. In the evening, the team met in an informal setting at a brewery in Krefeld. Initial discussions were held in a relaxed atmosphere and the course was set for a successful weekend. It was the perfect opportunity to get to know the new employees and strengthen existing bonds.

On Saturday, the actual meeting took place in an impressive room on the grounds of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex took place. The industrial backdrop provided the perfect backdrop for the focus of the kick-off event "The industry in transition" and the development of the industry. There were guest contributions from other partner companies, specialists and external experts from the energy sector. Topics included, for example, the new specifications of Solar parksthe AC building, the Decarbonization of companies, such as corporations ESG requirements or how investments in renewable energies can be financed. A highlight of the day was the Joint tour of the minewhich not only offered informative insights into the industrial past, but also acted as a team-building exercise.

In the evening, the team headed to Düsseldorf, where a Spanish restaurant awaited the employees. The choice of restaurant not only reflected the Internationality of our workforce but also emphasized the presence of the Spanish colleagues and gave a culinary outlook on the Summer Exchange 2024. With tapas and a lively atmosphere, Saturday evening was another highlight of the event.

On Sunday, all CUBIES returned to the headquarters to conclude the event in a business context. Here the targets for the year 2024 of the departments were defined, the final details discussed, open questions clarified and the focus placed on the implementation plans. The "Kick-Off 2024" thus ended with a clear roadmap for the coming year.

Overall, the event was not only an opportunity for professional exchange, but also for personal encounters and strengthening team spirit. The diverse program items reflected the dynamism and innovative strength of CUBE CONCEPTS and promise a successful year 2024 for the entire workforce.
