Decarbonization of Industry 2025: CUBE CONCEPTS On-Site at the Handelsblatt Event

The Handelsblatt event took place at SMS group in Mönchengladbach from November 13-14, 2025. „Decarbonization of industry“ instead. As in the previous year, CUBE CONCEPTS was once again represented as a participant – with the clear goal of better understanding the current challenges of the industry and consistently further developing our own solutions.

Impulses for an industry in transition

Numerous expert presentations and discussion formats made it clear that the industrial transformation is gaining significant momentum. Topics such as energy partnerships, regional networking, resilient raw material strategies, and CO₂ infrastructure demonstrated how diverse the levers for successful decarbonization have become. At the same time, it became clear: the path to achieving this is complex, requires cross-sector cooperation, and concepts that are permanently economically viable.

This combination of technological, economic, and political perspectives makes the event particularly valuable for us. The discussions with industry representatives confirmed again that customized energy concepts, flexible generation solutions and a robust understanding of individual circumstances are crucial for the success of future projects.

Insights into Practice & Innovation at SMS

In addition to lectures, the event offered exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into SMS group. Future-proof qualification for the industry takes place there in a Digital Classroom facility and the high-tech applications in real-world operation could be inspected during a tour of the production. Afterward, in an inspiring atmosphere, the participants were able to Get-togethers at Borussia Park exchange. The personal conversations with companies, network partners, and technology providers were particularly valuable to us and have once again confirmed how important close dialogue is for successful transformation projects.

CUBE CONCEPTS is convinced: decarbonization can only succeed if technical innovations, economic incentives, and strategic partnerships are considered together. The insights from the event will flow directly into our work – particularly into the development of individual PV and energy concepts for industry and commerce.
