With the Kickoff 2026 In mid-January, CUBE CONCEPTS jointly laid the strategic foundation for the coming years. On Friday, January 16th, and Saturday, January 17th, all employees gathered at the headquarters in Kaarst near Düsseldorf – including colleagues who traveled especially from Mallorca and Prague. Two days dedicated to Exchange, Alignment and Team spirit. The large technical room on the ground floor was extensively converted and prepared for the event. In this new configuration, it offered the ideal setting for our central meeting and the intensive collaboration of all teams.
Day 1 of Kickoff 2026
The kickoff took place on Friday morning with a joint welcome breakfast. Jochen Schäfer then opened the kickoff with a detailed review Looking ahead to 2025: successful projects, new products, and strategic developments, meaningful key figures – but also an open assessment of the areas that didn't go as well. This honest stocktaking formed the basis for the next steps.
In the subsequent presentations, individual departments showcased their strategies for the coming years and explained the concrete measures by which these goals are to be achieved. After the joint lunch, we moved on to Group Workshops, where these exact measures were further elaborated and sharpened. The first day consciously ended without an official evening program around 5 PM – space for individual conversations, exchange, and relaxation.
Day 2 of the 2026 Kickoff
Saturday again started with a joint breakfast, before in parallel in-depth workshops took place. The sales team focused intensely on telephone and argumentation techniques, while the technical department focused on the topic Large-scale battery storage or BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) as well as our BESS planning tool to all technicians. After a joint recap and a concluding speech, the entire team proceeded to Neuss Ski Hall.
There waited with the Winter Olympics Challenge A sporty, team-oriented conclusion to the kickoff: In four groups, we competed against each other in various disciplines – from biathlon and ice stock sport to tug-of-war in the snow. The evening concluded with a hearty buffet in the adjacent restaurant, good conversation, a drink or two, and an open end.
