Tušimice – Origin

A 50 MW battery storage system with a capacity of 100 MWh is being built in Tušimice. An expansion to 200 MWh is already planned. From securing the project to construction on site: This timeline shows the development and the crucial milestones along the way to commissioning.

On this timeline, we document the most important milestones, the construction progress, and the delivery of the central components of our battery storage system.

April 17th

The kick-off for Tušimice

Cube Concepts secures 50 MW of battery storage in the Tušimice energy park. The project has a storage capacity of 100 MWh and is intended for later expansion to 200 MWh.

May 4th

Factory Acceptance Test of the transformer

Before being transported to the Czech Republic, the transformer is thoroughly inspected at the manufacturer’s facility. The Factory Acceptance Test ensures that the technical requirements are met and that the system is ready for delivery.

May 14th

Cube Concepts visits Tušimice

The management of Cube Concepts visits the project site in Tušimice and gets an impression of the current construction progress on-site. The focus is on the further development of the 50 MW battery storage project and the implementation of the planned infrastructure.

June 2nd

Transformers ready for the journey

The transformers have been completed and prepared for transport to Tušimice. This marks the start of the next phase of the project: the transport of the central components to the Czech energy park.

June 18

Construction is gaining momentum

Construction and infrastructure work are progressing visibly at the project site. The areas for the battery storage systems are being prepared, and the necessary foundations and paths are being created.

June 22

First BESS components arrive

The first battery storage components arrive at the project site in Tušimice. With the delivery, the visible implementation of the planned storage infrastructure begins on site.

July 7th

Transformer reaches Tušimice

After being transported by ship, the transformer reaches its destination in Tušimice. The delivery is another important step in the construction of the grid infrastructure for the battery storage project.

Significant construction progress

Work on the project site continues apace. The prepared areas, foundations and technical areas are increasingly taking on the planned structure of the battery storage park.

The transformer has arrived in Tušimice and has been installed at the intended location. This completes a central component of the project’s electrical infrastructure.
