Solar systems for commercial and industrial use in full service

CUBE CONCEPTS plans and calculates your solar system from the perspective of an investor, not that of a solar installer. The photovoltaic experts at CUBE CONCEPTS analyze your load profile, plan each kWp of the system, examine the funding options, monitor the construction process until completion, and take care of maintenance and servicing.

Planning, construction, and acceptance take place in accordance with the relevant DIN and VDE standards for large-scale systems, including all safety and insurance guidelines. CUBE CONCEPTS assists you in selecting the provider for the residual current and organizes the direct marketing for your system. This way, you can continue to focus on your core business.

Self-consumption: Solar power from the own site instead of electricity from the grid

The economic efficiency of a purchased system arises primarily from the electricity your site consumes itself: Every kilowatt-hour consumed by your site replaces electricity from the grid. The grid connection price includes, among other things, network charges. The volume-based components of these charges do not apply to self-consumed solar electricity. Electricity that your site does not use itself is sold directly to the market.

Economic efficiency: calculated individually for each location

Whether and how quickly your system will pay off depends on your load profile, the size of the system, your own consumption, and the power connection. CUBE CONCEPTS therefore calculates for each location individually: bank-compliant and based on your actual determined electricity consumption prices.

The four steps to your photovoltaic system

From the initial planning to ongoing operation: CUBE CONCEPTS provides these services for your facility.

01
Design

Planning of the facility, network compatibility and tender.

  • Planning and design of the facility based on the current and future electricity demand and the local conditions, for example the size and characteristics of the roof areas
  • In Germany: Planning according to DIN VDE 0100-712, clarification of necessary arrangements, controllability and connection to the network in accordance with the Technical Connection Conditions (TAB) of the network operator, and in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4105 (low voltage) and VDE-AR-N 4110 (medium voltage)
  • Application for the network compatibility assessment with the network operator; in other countries, according to the local requirements
  • Analysis of network compatibility and potential additional costs, for example for medium-voltage systems, in order to maintain existing protection and shutdown requirements, including the required system certificate
  • Examination of local conditions, such as glare near airports or increased pollution from neighboring industries
  • Planning and simulation with PV*SOL, a software accepted by banks
  • Separation of third-party consumers and meter management
  • Cooperation with internal departments such as fire protection, the works fire department, environmental protection and occupational safety
  • Assistance with the structural analysis; the system structural analysis is provided by CUBE CONCEPTS
  • Planning the future charging infrastructure with a GHG concept
  • Listing of installations in the CUBE solar power network according to a standardized or country-specific performance list
02
Calculation

Banking-compliant profitability, promotion and contracts.

  • Clarification and implementation of your individual investment strategy (operator model)
  • Basis for all calculations: actually determined current and realistically projected electricity supply prices from the grid
  • CUBE-specific, scalable calculation tool that was developed, among other things, with banks for the financing of PV systems
  • Bank-compliant calculation taking into account business and tax aspects
  • Each project is evaluated using the same standards as CUBE CONCEPTS and its financial partners when investing in their own projects.
  • Examination of funding opportunities; if funding programs are available, application for funding for charging infrastructure and load-shedding management, documentation and support until payment
  • Preparation of all required EEG-compliant contracts
03
Construction

Procurement, construction supervision, commissioning and start-up.

  • Evaluation of Solarteur offers based on qualitative, technical, commercial and local criteria using the CUBE internal scoring model
  • Ordering the remote control technology, commissioning the plant certificate and protective technology
  • Selection of the direct marketer and conclusion of the direct marketing agreement, interface specifications and hardware ordering
  • When dividing the services into DC and AC: Negotiations with the implementing companies, definition of interfaces and contract drafting
  • Drafting of the construction contracts with the executing companies, including optimized payment targets to protect against construction risks
  • Coordination of delivery and construction deadlines
  • Documentation of the locations of switchgear and control cabinets, as well as the cable routes, to minimize questions on the construction site
  • Drone flights with photo documentation before construction begins, during the construction phase, and after commissioning
  • Creating a roof transfer protocol
  • Account control of the performing solar installers
  • Ongoing construction management
  • Recording of the EEG commissioning
  • Registration of the facility in the market data register

Regulatory framework for new installations

Requirements apply to new photovoltaic systems in commercial and industrial buildings, and their design and economic viability directly influence them. CUBE CONCEPTS takes these factors into account in every planning phase.

RegulationWhat appliesImportance for your system
Direct marketing over 100 kWPlants with an installed power of more than 100 kW do not receive a fixed feed-in tariff; the market premium under the EEG requires direct marketing.Applies to any system with a capacity of 500 kWp or more. CUBE CONCEPTS organises the direct marketing for your system.
Solar Peak ActFrom February 25, 2025, new installations for periods with negative electricity prices will no longer receive subsidies; in return, the subsidy period will be extended.Self-consumed electricity is not affected by this. Self-consumption and control are included in the design from the very beginning.
Solar obligationAs of September 18, 2026, it is legally mandated in 10 of the 16 federal states for new non-residential buildings; in Hesse, only for state-owned new constructions. Starting January 1, 2027, a nationwide solar obligation applies for new non-residential buildings with more than 250 m² of usable area (§ 106 Building Modernization Act), which can be fulfilled with photovoltaic or solar thermal systems.Anyone who builds a non-residential building must usually plan for solar energy anyway. The respective law sets out minimum areas and exceptions.
Industrial electricity price (Support program 2026–2028)Companies from 91 sectors of the KUEBLL list 1 are eligible to apply. At least 50 % of the funding must be reinvested in decarbonization measures, including the expansion of renewable generation.A photovoltaic system can be considered a reinvestment. Details on the page photovoltaic industrial electricity price.

Frequently asked questions about buying a photovoltaic system

CUBE CONCEPTS installs commercial photovoltaic rooftop systems from 500 kWp, with or without battery storage systems.

Exclusively with CUBE CONCEPTS. CUBE CONCEPTS commissions and coordinates all the implementing partners and remains your contractual partner for the entire project.

All tasks in four steps: design, calculation, construction and monitoring. These include, among other things, applying for the grid-compatibility assessment, the tender in the CUBE solar power network, construction support, grid connection, registration in the market data register, the insurance package, the organization of direct marketing, maintenance and monitoring with CUBE Vision.

Bank-compliant and with a CUBE-specific calculation tool that was developed, among other things, with banks for the financing of PV systems. The basis is your actual determined current and realistically projected electricity supply prices. Each investment is evaluated according to the same standards that CUBE CONCEPTS and its financial partners apply to their own investments. Because load factors, investment size, self-consumption, and grid connection are different at each location, CUBE CONCEPTS does not provide a flat-rate return.

It is marketed. Installations with more than 100 kW do not receive a fixed feed-in tariff; the market premium under the EEG requires direct marketing. CUBE CONCEPTS organizes the direct marketing for your installation and takes care of reporting and billing.

When you buy, you invest yourself; the investment belongs to your company. CUBE CONCEPTS Contracting invests, and you receive the solar electricity at a fixed price for 20 years via a power supply contract.
