NRW expands this year's funding program

Just in time for May, the NRW state government presented the expansion of its "progres.nrw" funding program. Accordingly, this year 230 million euros Funding for the expansion of Photovoltaics, wind energy and geothermal energy will be made available. In addition to improving the funding guidelines, other areas have now also become eligible for funding and additional funds are being made available for large PV systems.

Solar carports, ground-mounted systems or agricultural and floating PV systems are now eligible for funding

Planned Solar parksthat were previously not eligible for funding under the EEG now receive a maximum of 20 % or 500,000 euros of eligible expenditure and floating photovoltaic systems and agrivoltaic systems up to 25 % or a maximum of 1 million euros. Rooftop photovoltaic systems on municipal buildings in conjunction with battery storage systems are now also subsidized with a maximum of 90 % or 350,000 euros. New is the funding for the construction of Carports with solar modules on open parking lots with more than ten parking spaces. From now on, this will be subsidized with a maximum of 500 euros per kWp or 50,000 euros. In addition, façade photovoltaic projects can also count on subsidies for the first time. They will be subsidized up to a maximum of 350 euros per kWp or 50,000 euros. In addition, financial support is available for feasibility studies, planning work and consultancy services for all PV projects.

Companies, local authorities and private individuals can now submit their applications at progres.nrw.
