The program is aimed at companies of all sizes that are investing in <a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/photovoltaics\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"28902\">Photovoltaics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/battery-storage\/\" type=\"page\" id=\"28816\">Battery storage<\/a>, heat generation, or combined heat and power\u2014on a market-based basis, i.e., without EEG feed-in tariffs. Of particular interest: up to 100% financing of eligible costs with a credit line of <strong>up to 150 million euros per project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What's behind the new KfW program 570?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kreditanstalt f\u00fcr Wiederaufbau (KfW) is expanding its range of promotional products in the renewable energies sector. The new program <strong>\u201eRenewable Energies Plus<\/strong> supplements the existing standard program 270 with a <strong>Aid variant<\/strong> \u2013 and is specifically aimed at investors who wish to market their generated electricity independently or consume it themselves, instead of receiving a state-subsidized feed-in tariff according to the EEG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The funding objective is clearly formulated: The <strong>market-based expansion of renewable energies<\/strong> should be strengthened, particularly through so-called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/ppa-power-purchase-agreement\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"10902\">Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 also direct supply contracts between electricity producers and consumers that ensure predictable remuneration independent of subsidies and stock market electricity prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is the program particularly relevant for PV and storage projects?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone who invests in a photovoltaic system or a battery storage system today and the electricity <strong>do not market over the EEG<\/strong> has had fewer suitable KfW options until now. Program 570 closes exactly this gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The explicitly promoted facilities and investments include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Photovoltaic systems<\/strong> (Rooftop, open space, facade)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Battery storage<\/strong> \u2013 also retrofitting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electricity storage<\/strong> including pumped storage power plants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Heat storage and hydrogen storage<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Onshore and offshore wind turbines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electric heat pumps and solar thermal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Geothermal plants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Combined heat and power plants (CHP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For companies with a focus on <strong>Photovoltaics and electricity storage<\/strong> results in an attractive all-in-one financing solution: from power generation to storage \u2013 and with <strong>up to 100 % financing<\/strong> of the eligible investment costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Also suitable for Contracting models<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/services\/cube-contracting\/\">PV contracting<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/battery-storage\/contracting\/\">Battery Storage - Contracting<\/a><\/strong> are eligible. The CUBE Contracting meets the basic requirement: The Contracting sponsor is eligible to apply, bears the financial risk, and serves as both the investor and the operator of the facility. The principle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Select financing partners<\/strong> (House bank, Savings bank, Cooperative bank)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apply before starting the project<\/strong> (Purchase agreements or commencement of construction must not yet exist)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financing partner forwards application to KfW<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon credit approval: Funds may be drawn within 12 months (extendable)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interest rate will be set at market rates on the day of commitment and will depend on creditworthiness and collateral. A commitment fee will be charged on amounts not yet drawn, six months after commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outlook: Further funding programs within the scope of the Germany Fund<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parallel to the launch of Program 570, KfW, on behalf of the German federal government, is working on further financing instruments for energy infrastructure \u2013 the so-called <strong>Germany Fund<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201eInvestment loan for energy supply\u201d with release of liability<\/strong> \u2013 for regional energy suppliers, focus on electricity distribution and heat supply (planned start: July 1, 2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201eKfW Syndicated Loan Energy Supply\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 for larger infrastructure projects (planned start: July 1, 2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201eRenewable Energies Plus with Release from Liability\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 Market-based expansion of renewable energy with extended risk protection (planned launch: Q3 2026)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All mentioned German fund programs are still subject to federal approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion: Now review plans and plan early<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new KfW program \u201eRenewable Energies Plus\u201d (570) is an important addition to the funding options \u2013 especially for companies that are investing in <strong>Solar power systems, battery storage, or Contracting models<\/strong> invest while relying on market-based sales channels (direct sales, PPAs, self-consumption).
