{"id":2841,"date":"2023-01-22T12:36:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-22T11:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/v2.cubeconcepts.de\/?p=2841"},"modified":"2025-04-24T08:38:59","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T06:38:59","slug":"electricity-price-brake-maximum-values-in-tenders-raised","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/strompreisbremse-hoechstwerte-in-ausschreibungen-angehoben\/","title":{"rendered":"Electricity price brake: maximum values in tenders raised"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The law passed in December 2022 to introduce an electricity price brake (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gesetze-im-internet.de\/strompbg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Electricity Price Brake Act - StromPBG<\/a>) stipulates, among other things, that operators of commercial photovoltaic systems from 1,000 kWh and subsidized EEG systems from 100 kWh must pay their surplus revenues from 01.12.2022. These are calculated on a quarterly basis using various ratios, such as monthly market value or system size. The revenue skimming of the so-called random profits is intended to benefit end consumers and is initially limited until 30.06.2023 and can be extended until 30.04.2024 at the latest. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Federal Network Agency increases PV values in tenders by almost 25%<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time as the StromPBG, the Federal Government also decided to increase the maximum values in photovoltaic tenders by 25% by the Federal Network Agency, which was also directly fixed by the authority in December 2022 for photovoltaics on roof surfaces and in January 2023 for solar parks for the next round of tenders in March 2023. The maximum values for the tenders thus rose from 8.91 to 11.25 cents per kilowatt hour for photovoltaic systems on roof surfaces and from 5.90 to 7.37 cents per kilowatt hour for solar parks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/solarpark-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Photovoltaic promotion\" class=\"wp-image-566\" style=\"width:373px;height:278px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/solarpark-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/solarpark-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/solarpark-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/solarpark-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/solarpark-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expansion targets to be achieved despite electricity price brake<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The German government and the Federal Network Agency hope that raising the maximum values will give a further boost to investments in renewable energies. Precisely because component prices and financing costs rose in 2022 due to inflation and material shortages, there were more signatures in various tendering rounds in the same year. The market demanded a clear signal for the solar and renewable energy sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High volume of tenders expected in 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The increase in PV values comes at just the right time, as the agency has already recorded very high volumes for the first tenders in 2023 and the measure is a clear incentive to invest in photovoltaic systems. It remains to be seen to what extent this step by the Federal Network Agency will stimulate investment by companies.
