Neunkirchen, June 25, 2025. A little over a year and a half after the groundbreaking, the time has come: The SCH\u00c4FER WERKE<\/strong> Group takes the largest solar park in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district<\/strong> operational. A total of 3,240 state-of-the-art PV modules can produce up to almost 2 million kilowatt-hours of renewable, climate-friendly electricity annually. SCH\u00c4FER Werke thus reach an important milestone on their path to climate neutrality by 2030. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 MWp for the SCH\u00c4FER WERKE Group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Solar park<\/a> with a total area of over 9,000 square meters of PV modules, has been built northeast of the SCH\u00c4FER site on the Pfannenberg. The installed power of almost two megawatt peak<\/strong> (2 MWp) is capable of covering about one-third of the total electricity demand at the SCH\u00c4FER WERKE Group's main site. The environmentally friendly electricity generation enables Annual savings of 926,574 kg CO2<\/sub><\/strong>. The goal is to achieve a high self-consumption rate of 68.1% of the solar energy generated. In this way, SCH\u00c4FER WERKE reduces its dependence on external energy sources, increases its security of supply, and simultaneously optimizes its CO2<\/sub>Footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
