The event was held under the motto \"From challenge to opportunity: energy policy between transformation and regulation\" and brought together leading representatives from industry, politics, administration and consulting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference brought together high-caliber representatives from industry, science, administration and consulting to jointly find answers to the most pressing questions facing energy-intensive companies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How are the political and regulatory framework conditions developing?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which technologies and business models will ensure competitiveness in the future?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can the conversion of the energy supply succeed economically?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abolition of \u00a7 19 StromNEV<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A central topic - both in the official agenda and in the expert discussions - was the possible <strong>Abolition of \u00a7 19 StromNEV<\/strong>in particular the so-called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/band-load-band-current\/\">Belt load<\/a>-Privileges<\/strong>. This privileged treatment of consistent electricity consumption by large consumers is coming under increasing political and regulatory pressure. As a result, energy-intensive companies must become more flexible in order to remain competitive - both in terms of electricity procurement and consumption behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Storage &amp; EMS for energy-intensive companies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From CUBE CONCEPTS' point of view, this necessary flexibility can only be achieved practically and economically by using <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/products\/large-battery-storage\/\">Large battery storage systems<\/a><\/strong> realize. They make it possible to shift consumption over time, avoid peak loads and react specifically to volatile electricity exchange prices or grid signals. At the same time <strong>Energy management systems<\/strong>how the <a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/products\/cube-efficiencyunit\/\">CUBE EfficiencyUnit<\/a> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cubeconcepts.de\/en\/dynamic-electricity-tariffs\/\">dynamic electricity tariffs<\/a><\/strong> into focus. They are no longer an additional option, but are becoming an integral part of the location strategy of energy-intensive companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion of the PwC Annual Conference 2025: A political balancing act<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PwC Annual Conference 2025 for energy-intensive companies also made it clear how tense the relationship between the Federal Network Agency and the new German government is. While the regulatory authority is pushing for a stronger focus on the flexibility requirements of the energy system, politicians are focusing on protecting the status quo for particularly electricity-intensive sectors.
